Are you thinking what I am thinking? Ronaldo...Neymar?

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has surprisingly advised Neymar on WhatsApp to stay at Barcelona, according to sensational reports in Spain.
Express Sport understands PSG were last night closer to a £196million deal for Neymar.

With the 25-year-old seriously considering his future, Ronaldo has apparently taken it upon himself to offer Barcelona's winger some advice.

The pair has huge respect for each other as they represent the same brand at international level as a Nike ambassador.

As a result, Ronaldo and Neymar talk away from football and are claimed to have been in contact on WhatsApp over the past few days.

The 32-year-old feels Neymar must stay with the Catalan giants or face seeing his career go backwards, Spanish outlet Diario Gol claim.

Ronaldo has warned Neymar joining PSG would be taken a big step down. He believes Ligue 1 does not have the same appeal as La Liga or the Premier League.

The Portuguese believe only Madrid is a bigger club than Barcelona in world football, despite the financial pull PSG now offer.

Even with the big project being proposed at the Parc des Princes, Diario Gol adds while staying at Barcelona is Ronaldo's advice to Neymar, joining Manchester United could also be an option.

Jose Mourinho is in the process of rebuilding the club as they look to return to Europe's elite.

And while the United boss has ruled out moves for the likes of Ronaldo and Gareth Bale, the potential availability of Neymar could be of interest.

Manchester United have been linked to the Barcelona man in the past.

And if Neymar still has the firm idea of leaving the Nou Camp, waiting for an offer from United may be preferable to signing for PSG.

At Old Trafford, Neymar would still be able to spread his image internationally and have the stage to clinch the Ballon d'Or.

But staying at Barcelona alongside Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez is what Ronaldo believes Neymar should do
